|
| Hemoco Software Lansweeper 4.0 An agent-free utility for Windows systems and networks for performing complete hardware, software, and network inventories and for managing company assets via a Web-based interface. Starts at $299; freeware version available
| Unless your company has blessed you with an assortment of tools to help manage its numerous assets, there’s a fair chance you’re underpowered but overworked trying to keep tabs on hardware and software inventories, track installed and missing software licenses, construct various compliance reports, and juggle scads of other time-consuming but imperative Windows-management tasks. Enter Hemoco Software’s Lansweeper for Windows systems and networks. The automated hardware-, software-, and network-discovery utility simplifies the task of managing assets for an unlimited number of clients while also providing more than 200 integrated reports and email alerts. Lansweeper also arms you with the ability to build your own reports that you can add to a Dashboard, including reports for scanning custom files and Registry keys. Best of all, Lansweeper doesn’t require the need to install any agents on clients in order to operate. Upon installing Lansweeper, the utility provides a Web-based interface from which you can view all the hardware and software installed on scanned systems. On the hardware side, Lansweeper looks for more than 60 specifications related to Windows and other IP-enabled devices on the network. Additionally, Lansweeper can track hardware changes to inform you when components have been removed or replaced. Software-wise, you can track and audit installed applications on clients and conveniently calculate the cost of missing licenses for software and operating systems. Lansweeper includes Active Directory integration to amass user and system details and create specific reports for organizational units and assign photos to users to more easily identify who has been using specific systems and when. Lansweeper can also assist in recovering keys for more than 300 products; create such customized actions as remotely installing software and running various scripts; and accumulate all eventlog activity for scanned computers in one location for viewing. by Blaine Flamig
